bottled puddle water for your dog

Hydration is just as important to pets as it is to people. So why aren't our pooches guzzling pepsi, orange crush, coffee, chocolate milk or double martinis like us. After all they have taste preferences too. Odds are, for your dog and mine, toilet water or gutter water would win hands down over a bowl of fresh cold tap water any day.

Enter K9 Water Company founded by Susan Goldberg and Don Magier. Their mission: to deliver a tasty water for dogs that hydrates and nourishes. Their bottled water product is to dogs what Gatorade is to people and comes in four flavors - gutter water, toilet water, puddle water and hose water.

It can be found in all fifty states as well as parts of Asia and has become so popular that the bottles are being tucked into goody bags for pets at luxury hotels and are even the featured "cocktail" during Yappy Hour at Echo, a five-star California restaurant.

people food goes to the dogs

I was in Walmart the other day in the pet food section picking up some Iams Biscuits for Pops when I stumbled upon an end cap loaded with Rachael Ray's new line, you guessed it, DOG FOOD. Yup, Ray Ray has gone bow wow! The new pet food is called Nutrish and from the ad, she claims "Nutrish for pets has real meat and vegetables, no junk or fillers".

"for pets", so she does cat food too?
Moxie will love that! Especially without all the junk ;) and one of Nutrish's ingredients is Rachael's ever popular EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) which will give Moxie a shiny coat.

How cool is that?

Theres more - Rachael also has pet treats - Isaboo Biscotti and Isaboo Grill Treats . And to top it off a portion of the proceeds from her pet food line go to her charity. Yup, shes got one of those too! Rachaels Rescue.

Rachael Ray is definitely one motivated woman. It gets me exhausted just talking about her. I wonder what's next for the wonder woman?

Baby Food?

activia for dogs

What will they think of next! Activia like yogurt for the pooch in your life. With some of the bizarre things I find my Poppy Petunia eating (and the remnants I've found under my bed), this may be just the thing for her little churning inerds!
yöghund

The Yöghund could be called the dog version of the Activia yogurt marketing to people. The dog yogurt does not have any sugar and was first made in a peanut butter and banana flavor. “We actually create a true yogurt, we ferment it,” she said. “We’ve tried to find things dogs like, plus they have a health benefit.”

The yogurt contains probiotics and prebiotics that aid dogs’ digestion, strengthen the immune system and improve intestinal health. And the dogs lick it up like crazy. “The dogs think it’s fabulous,” Rodgers said. “If a dog is on antibiotics, it’s a great way to establish good flora in the intestines.”
